Garbage

I don't have much to say today because this was another day where nothing really happened. Because of that, I'll talk about the dreaded trash removal process.

First off, our one and only trash bag is kept in a trash compactor located in the kitchen. One mystery of the compactor is that no matter how hard it's cleaned, there is always a small dirty pool of water building up at the bottom every time we change bags. The bags aren't ripping, so maybe the excessive heat causes this?

Now because we don't want this garbage water getting all over the boat, we have to transfer this bag into a larger trash bag and carry this out to the dock. Because the bag is compacted, it weighs more than what it looks like it should, so this is annoying...

Once on the dock, we have to hurl the bag onto a floating platform located a few meters away. This sounds like some kind of old school video game, it's ridiculous. You better have your momentum perfect, or else your garbage is going to the bottom of the river. In a real cruel twist of fate, your garbage may also bounce off the platform and into the river.

At least the fish will have company for the next million years or so...
